Stability from
within

Our new skills training

As the world out there is changing radically, it is time to change myself inside to fit into the emerging new future. If I want to build a fast, flexible and creative team, I first need to expand my skillset and change my mindset to help others do the same. My better skillset could include, for example:

  • When the outside world loses its stability, I need to become stable from within. I need to develop a strong self-worth, i.e. to know what values, ideals and principles I stand for – and how I can live them in everyday life.
  • I learn to reduce my Ego-behavior patterns, know my destructive stress behavior and change it. This gives me the confidence to deal with any reality.
  • Beyond my professional skills, I thus inspire others with my self-confidence, my courage and my constructive way of dealing with relationships. My message is: if I can learn this, so can you.
  • With my increased inner stability, I am far less focused on MY needs for security and control – and on admiration, praise, love, recognition from others, although I enjoy it.
  • I am learning to see that other people are really different in how they think life works, and therefore, how they set priorities – in normal life and under stress. I can recognize their values and can help them develop a better version of themselves. Now, I don’t take every odd behavior personally, but can recognize that this may be the other person’s typical stress response.
  • With this freedom in mind, we train in role plays to deal with difficult conflicts, with other people’s difficult emotions from insecurity, defensiveness to anger and frustration and even hidden hostility (enemy in disguise of niceness).
  • This means that I learn the courage, clarity and empathy to live “tough love”. “Because I really like you, I am now giving you unpleasant feedback – not to punish you or make you feel small, but to encourage you to grow.”
  • We remove old obstacles and blockages in our team and pave the way for more trust among each other and thus encourage people to address conflicts. With fewer conflicts, motivation increases and with it the willingness to take responsibility. My team is focused on success.

Then our team or company becomes fast, flexible and creative.

No two lives are identical. And no two lives can be compared in terms of their course and development. Everyone has their own starting point and their own finish line. And yet, there are topics and important aspects of life that are more or less on everyone’s agenda:

  • Social and financial security, i.e. belonging to family and friends, a good, preferably conflict-free relationship with colleagues and bosses, a positive bond with my company,
  • Love and recognition in my private and professional life for what I do and for who I am,
  • freedom for creativity, new ideas, experimentation and change,
  • the search for meaning in what I do and how I exist in a world that is changing radically and that I don’t always understand.

On the way to these goals, the themes of my inner life quickly become visible, because they decide whether my path will be easy and joyful or exhausting, conflict-ridden, frustrating and tiring. They are qualities such as self-confidence in my trained professional and human skills. They give me self-confidence and are the basis for my self-acceptance, self-love and self-respect. From my evaluation of all this, I recognize my self-worth, the value I assign to myself according to my honest self-perception (in contrast to my importance in the eyes of others). Then I can treat myself responsibly and attentively, not exploit myself, forgive myself for mistakes I’ve made rather than castigate myself, and combine my sense of reality with a free imagination and good intuition. This is my equipment for a world full of unpredictability, uncertainty and black swans that were considered completely unrealistic just a few years ago.

Of course, I want to have these wonderful qualities and abilities, I want to experience this stability because its influence on the quality of life is so clearly noticeable – but where should I have learned all this? At school, university or vocational training? And now, as a manager, my employees expect me to help them along the way.

Often as I get older, and often as I become increasingly alienated in the turbulent world in which I live, even deeper questions arise: What is the meaning of my existence? What is it that really counts at the end of life? Do I climb my mountain, or any mountain that is offered to me? What influence do I have on my reality, or is it more or less just luck and bad luck? Where do I go at the end of my days? And when I go “where”, where do I come from? And who am I, when my everyday identity based on my family, friends, my job, my family of origin, my bank account, my car, my house, my boat changes again and finally disappears?

All of this can be a topic in our coaching – where do we want to start?
